Halq (mouth in Maltese) started as a challenge, that of getting out of my comfort zone by creating a humorous work from a very beautiful stone. At first, it was unthinkable, then when I saw this lemon quartz, I thought of a mouth that would bite it. Then of several small mouths all around capturing their own stones.
